Dear Parents and Carers
Today completes the second week of our full return to school. The students have continued to settle back into school life, especially those in new classrooms. Now that students have readjusted, learning is back in full swing.
Our school reports which are usually sent home at the end of Term 2 will not be released until Term 3, Monday 27 July. This is in response to the COVID-19 remote learning and the need for a modified reporting system. Our parent teacher interviews will begin Tuesday 28 July. More information will be available by the end of this term.
Kinder 2021 enrolments are now open. Now that COVID-19 restrictions are beginning to lift plans are being developed to host our information day for new Kinders. At this stage we are looking to have small groups visit the school for a presentation and tour.
Good news for parents, our canteen is opening with a limited service on Monday 15th of June. Please refer to the P&F News section in this newsletter.
This weekend brings an extra day of rest with the Queens Birthday holiday on Monday. I hope everybody takes the opportunity to rest and recharge their batteries and be ready for more learning on Tuesday.
We are welcoming new enrolments for the 2021 school year. We appreciate that this is a significant decision for parents and know that new families will need time to consider all available options.
Please enrol online at our website with the link below or call at the school office for a paper form. https://smwms.nsw.edu.au/enrolment
If you require further information please ring and make an appointment.
Thank you to Kate Carey who has planted some more greenery in the school garden. We appreciate her care of our gardens.

For next week we wish a Happy Birthday to

This may be confusing so we advise all parents to add this new number to their mobile address book. If you already have the school number as a contact in your address book it is best to select to add to an existing contact, this will leave our old number in your phone as well because calling our old number will still get us!
Fee statements for Term 2 have been posted.
A drought subsidy of $317.60 per family has been applied to your fees. For those who pay fees per term, could you please check your statement and alter your payment accordingly.
Those who have set up their own BPAY or direct debit payments are asked to also check their statement and alter or suspend your payments as required. Payment plans through the school's Catholic Development Fund can be altered here at the office. You will be contacted if we think you need to change your payment amount.
The school has the ability to provide school fee support for families in genuine need, and the CEO are offering fee relief for COVID-19 income loss. Confidential information is available at the school office.
School fee payment records are strictly confidential and access is restricted to office staff and the school principal. Please contact Mr Nielsen if you wish to discuss this matter or any other issue.
The canteen will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting on Monday 15th of June.
There will be changes in the canteen operation until the end of term, please see the list below, also be aware this may be reviewed at any time as per updated government advice.
The changes will be:
- Only lunch orders will be taken.
- There will be no over the counter sales at recess or lunch.
- There will be a modifed menu provided next week.
- Your child's lunch order will need to include any drinks, snacks and icecreams for lunch time only.

Thank you to those parents who have replied to our recent Facebook post (below) regarding availability to help in the canteen this term. We greatly appreciate your prompt replies. Thank you in advance to those who are able to assist for the 3 days left to fill:
- Monday 22nd and 29th June
- Wednesday 24th June.
If you haven't done canteen before, not to worry, we will buddy you up with a seasoned regular so you can learn the "ropes".
