Most Holy Virgin Mary, appointed by God to be the Help of Christians, we choose you as the Mother and protectress of our home.
We ask you to favour us with your powerful protection. Preserve our home from every danger: from fire, flood, lightning, storm, earthquake, thieves, vandals and from every other danger.
Bless us. Protect us. Defend us.
Keep as your own all the people who dwell in this home. Protect them from all accidents and misfortunes, but above all obtain for them the most important grace of avoiding sin.
Mary Help of Christians,
Pray for all those who live in this home,
Which is entrusted to you for all time.
AMEN

Congratulations to our choir who performed at the Music Extravaganza at the High School yesterday. They showed great talent and beautiful harmonies as they entertained the crowd. Also a special thanks to Mrs Harland who coaches the students and leads them on the night.
All our helpers in the canteen and the field events at our Athletics Carnival yesterday. After a cool start to the day it ended up sunny and enjoyable for all.

Students in Years 3 & 4 will participate in the Todd Woodbridge Tennis Challenge at the town tennis courts on Monday 28 May. Students will arrive at school as normal and should wear their sports uniform. They should also bring a drink bottle, hat, fruit, recess and lunch. There will be no canteen operating. If you have your own racquet please feel free to use it, otherwise a racquet will be supplied.
Our school uniform is always to be worn with pride.
It is our brand and reflects the quality of our school.
Parents are asked to consider the following:
- Scarfs and beanies are only to be worn when a student is dressed in full winter uniform and not to be worn inside. These items need to be navy blue.
- Tights worn with skorts are not a part of the summer or the winter uniform.
- The lightweight jackets do not replace the fleece jumper. They were added to the uniform as an outside jacket.
- Jumpers must be in good condition and replaced if the zipper is broken.
- The top button on shirts needs to be done up when a tie is worn. The buttonhole may need to be enlarged or a larger size shirt may be required.
- Singlets and T-Shirts worn under shirts need to be tucked in or at a length where they are not visible below the shirt hem.
- Shoes should be polished regularly.
- Ripped and very well worn and faded pants, shirts and hats need to be replaced.
- Socks should be navy for girls and grey for boys.
- CG jumpers are only to be worn on sport days.
Thank you for your efforts in keeping our students looking neat and tidy.

ST MARY’S NEW FACEBOOK PAGE
Our school now has a new Facebook page that is public. The purpose of this page is to inform the wider community of the fantastic things that happen at our school.
We are still maintaining the P&F Facebook which is wonderful for parents to share messages and information.
We invite everybody to like and share the new page which is called St Mary’s War Memorial School with the following cover picture.
Our new website is online and we encourage parents to familiarize themselves with it.
The website is still undergoing changes so menus and information will continue to be updated over the next couple of weeks.
We are also changing to a new app called Schoolzine and this will replace Skoolbag. Parents can download the Schoolzine app and see how it works. We are also changing to a new app called Schoolzine and this will replace Skoolbag. Parents can download the Schoolzine app and see how it works. Click here for the instructions to download the app.
Over the rest of this term we ask parents and carers to migrate to the new systems and we will start to send newsletters via the website and app. At the start of Term 3 all should be using the new website and app.
