Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to Week 2. I hope everyone has had a chance to recover from the Hearts of Gold festivities, what an incredible community event! It was wonderful to see so many St Mary’s families coming together for such a happy occasion.
On Monday, we welcomed our 2026 Kindergarten students for their first orientation session. It was a joyful half-day visit, and we’re excited to see them again next Monday for a full-day experience as they continue their transition into school life. A special thank you to our Kindergarten teacher, Carlie Iverach, for her thoughtful preparation and warm welcome to our newest learners.
Best of luck to our Year 5 and 6 boys and girls who are travelling to Wagga this week to compete in the Regional NSW Basketball Championships. We’re proud of their commitment and sportsmanship.
A friendly reminder to families: please do not send toys to school. This aligns with our school policy and helps maintain a safe and focused learning environment for all students.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Remember my door is always open.
Principal

Christmas Eve Mass - Save the Date
St Mary’s students are warmly invited to take part in this year’s Christmas Eve Mass.
Students will be involved in singing and performing the Nativity Scene, helping to bring the spirit of Christmas to life for our parish community.
We encourage all families to support their children’s participation in this special celebration. Further details will be shared closer to Christmas.
The St Mary’s Yearbook is Back!
We’re excited to announce that the St Mary’s Yearbook is making a return! It’s been many years since our last edition, and we’re looking forward to making this a special annual tradition.
The yearbook will be available by order only, with each copy priced at $25. A Compass event will be sent out in the coming weeks so you can place your order for your family and/or extended family.
The yearbook will be available in the first few weeks of Term 1, 2026, and will feature photos, stories, end-of-year celebrations, and more—a wonderful keepsake to remember 2025.
Student Collection, Late Drop Off & Forgotten Items
For safety and accountability reasons, parents are not permitted to go directly to classrooms to collect their child. Upon arrival at the office, staff will contact your child’s classroom teacher and have them sent down to meet you.
You will also be required to sign your child in or out using the Compass Kiosk (pictured below).
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and organised school environment.
Classroom Access Reminder
We kindly remind all families that parents are not permitted to enter classrooms at any time during the school day. This is to ensure minimal disruption to learning and to maintain a safe and secure environment for all students.
If your child has forgotten an item, please bring it to the Front Office, and our office staff will ensure it is delivered to your child promptly.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Back for Term 4!
The students had a great week settling back into their learning routines. With a busy term ahead, it was wonderful for them to enjoy a calm and focused start. This gentle transition has helped set a positive tone for the weeks to come.
Play practice is well underway, and it’s been wonderful to hear classes singing fun and lively songs throughout the day. The excitement is building as students prepare for their performances, and it’s great to see their enthusiasm and creativity shining through.
