Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to Week 6. Another big week at St Mary’s, with the book fair and book character parade!!
On Friday we will hold our annual book character parade. This day is a highlight of the St Mary’s calendar for both students and staff. I cannot wait to see the fabulous costumes. The parade will begin at 10:00 with the book fair straight after at approximately 10:30 in the hall.
Thank you to everyone who braved the cold for our annual athletics carnival which was held at McAllister oval last week. With the high jump event finishing up this week we will hand out age champion medals at assembly on Friday. A special thanks to all the teachers and in particular Wendy Connellan for her organisation. A massive thank you to Casey Judd and all our fabulous canteen volunteers for their assistance in ensuring all the students were adequately fed.
A special welcome to the Hutchin’s family (Jemima - Kinder Kind), (Tully - 2 Mercy) and (Ridley - 4 Trust) who will begin after the long weekend. We welcome you to the St Mary’s community and trust you will enjoy your time with us.
As you would be aware, our 2026 Kindergarten Information and Tour will be held on Thursday the 26th of June. If you are aware of anyone interested in enrolling their child at St Mary’s in 2026, please let them know to attend!!!
Last Sunday was the first occasion St Mary’s was rostered on for the readings, prayers of the faithful, welcome and offertory. Thank you to those who assisted. I look forward to more volunteers next time we’re rostered on!
Remember my door is always open.

This week at St Mary’s our focus value will be generosity. Generosity is showing Christ’s love to others by giving our time, effort and resources to help others without expecting to be paid. We can show this mostly through actions, which will make people around us feel valued, but it can also be shown in attitude, like being quick to forgive and not keeping score of favours we’ve done for others
A Prayer for Generosity

Class masses will recommence next Wednesday.
