A Message from our Acting Principal
Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to Week 10. I trust you all enjoyed a relaxing mini Easter break and are ready to charge through to the end of term. Although there is only 9 days until the end of term there is still so much on. Firstly, I must congratulate our 5 and 6 students for their reverent and respectful re-enactment of the Stations of the cross last week. It truly was a lovely morning. Well done on the remainder of the school for their involvement and excellent behaviour. Thank you to all the parents who joined us for the morning and in particular thank you for your efforts with helping our students with their Easter hats. The parade was a highlight and a lovely way to celebrate Easter.
On Friday we will hold our school Cross Country carnival at the West Wyalong showground for Year’s 2 - 6. Students are to come to school as normal and will be bused down to the track. Below are the arrangements. As you can see, we require helpers. If you can assist, please let me know or call the office.

Easter
In partnership with families, we are dedicated to educating children who believe in the miracle of Easter.
A Prayer for Easter
Our Lord Jesus Christ,
that we especially celebrate at this time.
The sadness and despair of his death has given way to the bright promise of immortality.
For the Resurrection is our guarantee that justice will triumph over treason,
Light will overcome darkness,
and love will conquer death.
Amen.
Stations of the Cross & Easter Hat Parade
Well done to all students for their contribution to the Stations of the Cross reenactment and Easter Hat Parade. Congratulations to all the students who won Easter Eggs in the raffle. Thank you to Bridget Lashbrook, Stacey Smith and Ash Nicholson from the community council who helped organise the raffles. The students are so lucky!!!
Term 1, 2024 Class and Whole School Mass Timetable
Kindergarten and 5/6 Faith celebrated a lovely Class Mass on Wednesday. Many thanks to all those involved, in particular Mrs Taylor and Mrs Iverach who prepared the children beautifully.
Caritas Fundraiser
St Mary’s were true ‘Champions for Change’ and showed admirable dedication to fundraising for Project Compassion during the Lenten season. Classes were very generous and a grand total of $780.00 was raised for Caritas. There was a clear winner of the ‘class party’ for the class that raised the most money, and this will be announced to the students tomorrow at morning assembly. This will go towards education, health care, education and safe drinking water in third world countries.
Billy Pettit and Audrey Pritchard
who celebrate their birthday's during this week.
We hope you enjoy your special day.
