RESPECTFUL
In partnership with families, we are committed to educating children who are:
Respectful - Jesus treated everyone with respect.
A Prayer for Respect
Dear Jesus,
We praise you for your goodness and mercy and thank you for the example of respect in your life. You were considerate to everyone you met, especially the poor and the sick, who came to you for help. Please help us to notice and respect the feelings of those around us as you did. Remind us to use courteous language at all times and not to keep others waiting on us. Guide us in honouring our elders and our authorities. Please help us to act in all things in harmony with the will of the Father.
Amen.

Western Region Public Speaking
Public Speaking
Well done to Will McDonell, Hannah McDonell and Pippa Cuthbertson who competed at St Mary’s in Young last week at the Western Region Finals. All spoke extremely well and should be proud of their efforts.
Trent Barrett Shield - Year 3/4
Trent Barrett Shield - Year 3/4
On Thursday last week year 3 and 4 travelled to Temora to compete in the Annual NRL Trent Barrett Shield. It was a beautiful day for it and the children were shining examples of what it means to be part of St Mary’s. Their sportsmanship and behavior were exemplary.
The girls league tag team was coached by Mrs Iverach and their skills improved greatly during their training sessions leading up to the day. They played 3 games, won one and lost two. Maive Stewart was awarded ‘best on ground’ for the girls.
The boys tackle team was coached by Grant Pettit who gave up his Wednesday afternoons to coach the boys and he created a tight, highly skilled team. Thanks go out to Grant for everything he did for the boys. They played 3 games and won all three games with an impressive margin. Jimmy Curry was awarded ‘best on ground’ for the boys.
SCHOOL FEE PAYMENT
It is preferred that payments are made using the BPAY information on your statement. You can also come into the office to pay cash or use EFTPOS. If possible please do not pay via Compass as this attracts extra fees.
Those who have set up their own BPAY periodic payments are asked to also check their statement and alter or suspend your payments as required. Please contact the office if you need help working out payment amounts.
School fee payment records are strictly confidential and access is restricted to office staff and the school principal. Please contact Mr Nielsen if you wish to discuss this matter or any other issue.
In line with this from Friday students may wear either the school summer or winter uniform, depending on the weather, until the end of Term 3.

The West Wyalong Show Day is a half day public holiday in our town. In lieu of the St Mary's Twilight Swimming Carnival, the CEO Canberra Goulburn has granted approval for our school to close for the morning of show day.
This means children and staff will not come to school on show day and gives everyone an opportunity to enjoy a full day at the show. Bus companies have been informed of this change.
