Term 3 has seen a welcome return to St Mary’s operating as close to normal since the pandemic began in 2019. It was tremendous to have such a large contingent of our parent community visit the school for our book week parade. Our students and staff looked amazing dressed as their favourite book character and it was extra special to have our parents as an audience. Thank you to everyone for the huge effort you went to support our celebration of reading.
At this point in time Term 4 is shaping up to run with little to no restrictions in place. Students will return to school on Tuesday the 11th October. The Year 5/6 Canberra excursion and end of year celebrations are all planned to go ahead as they normally would.
I would like to thank everyone for their contribution to our wonderful school this term.
St Mary's wishes everyone a safe and restful break over the next 2 weeks and we look forward to a busy and rewarding Term 4.
God Bless
Prayer by Riley Greenwood, Year 3
As we draw close to the end of another action packed term it is important to reflect on what an amazing 10 weeks we have been blessed with. We have celebrated beautiful class masses, the Sacrament of Confirmation and 5/6 have even attended an online Mass for NAIDOC week.
As apart of their prayer time 3/4 have perfectly caputered the importance of starting out the day with a grateful heart. Each day comes with its blessings and opportunities and this act of communicating with God allows peace and stillness to be present in our life.
Thank you to Riley Greenwood for sharing his prayer with us all.
