Kinder  - Visit to Wyalong Museum and Science

Our Kinder students visited the Wyalong Museum on Thursday and had a lovely time looking at the displays and enjoying the hands on experience.

They also visited Little Wattle Childcare and gave a live performance and a puppet performance of their fairy tales.  Our Kinder students did such a wonderful job and the staff and children at Little Wattle loved the visit.

We also have some pictures of our Kinder during Science where they were doing coding and trying to keep their Bee Bots under control.

Composting

Sally Russell, the Lake Cowal Conservation Centre Education Officer and Sarah Curry kindly gave up their day to educate each class on composting.

Students from Kinder to Year 4 got to make their own 'compost cake' and learn how composting is formed and where we can put it.

Our new compost bins are now in use and our scrap paper and fruit scraps will help make rich compost to put on our school vege patch so the veggies have food to grow.

The year 6 students will be stewards and care for the compost bins.

Yoga, Science and Geography - Year 1 and 2

For the last four weeks of term our Year 1/2 classes have attended Yoga as their sport lesson.  The emphasis for this Yoga was on balance, stretch and strength.

During Science the students were working on coding using the Bee Bots digital technology with Mrs Akehurst.

Also pictured are the Year 1/2 students with their geography projects on natural and built environments in Australia.
